As a contrast to my first part of the Christmas stories for Forever21 (where I was writing about escaping the exhausting hustle and bustle that Christmas brings along) my boyfriend Lukas and I just doused into the cheesy but somehow also beautiful Holiday madness of Hong Kong.
Punctual with the start of December the population of this fascinating city is going mad on everything related to Christmas. Shopping malls are turning into fake-ice landscapes, skyscrapers are staging gigantic ‘Frozen’ themed 3-D laser shows and the street markets start to sell anything from baubles to plastic fir trees and St. Nicholas costumes. Lukas and I were blown away by that intensity and spent hours and hours exploring the little stalls. A great way to get into Christmas mood – even if family is more than 9.000 kilometers and 24 hours of traveling away.
