3 SPOTS FOR: GOOD FOOD IN HONG KONG

COOPERATION, HONG KONG, HOTEL, PRIVATE PHOTOS, TRAVEL, VACATION

Unbelievable but true: After only one year of swooning over and glorifying this amazing city I’m back in Hong Kong and couldn’t be any happier about having the opportunity to a) escape the freezing Berlin winters plus b) spending some more days than last time, exploring not only the touristic hot spots and shopping malls but also the delicious food scene Hong Kong has to offer. Next to loads of super tasty traditional Chinese food places you can also find great (and affordable) Western cuisine inspired restaurants. A guide with three delicate choices.

BREAKFAST5
Oh so very hipster and oh so very delicious! Breakfast at Classified is heaven for everyone who works in design/fashion/music and shops Scandinavian designer brands: from freshly squeezed juices (with Acai and chia seeds, of course) to eggs Benedict and poached eggs – we love!

A great way to explore the Chinese cuisine could be to order a dim sum set lunch at the Above & Beyond restaurant in the 28th floor of the ICON hotel in Kowloon. Whilst having a spectacular view over the harbour we enjoyed a delicious eight course lunch containing a few of the best dim sum I ever had in my entire life. Surprisingly tasty and not gross at all: the marinated jelly fish in vinegar and garlic served in combination with crispy-roasted pork belly and marinated cucumber. Yum!
After finishing the sticky rice dessert and a short stopover by the rooftop pool deck we also got the chance to have a sneak peek into one of the luxurious suites of the ICON hotel. 80sqm including a walk-in-closed, a private jacuzzi pool and your personal smartphone with wifi connection in the entire city (omg) sounds like a pretty relaxing stay, right? Oh and: the mini bar is for free.

Hong Kong is a beautiful but also exhausting city. That’s why burgers and fries with soft drinks (and with soft drinks I mean alcohol) could be a very appropriate way to dine. We hefted our tired bodies to a cute restaurant called Burger Circus and enjoyed some freaking amazing burgers to complete the day. You can even get homemade cola there. Wasn’t in the crazy mood so I chose a (also homemade) cherry lemonade. Highly recommended w/ a shot of vodka bien sur.
