Day two of my experience with Adidas – leaving the hotel early, driving to Herzogenaurach and finally arriving on this enormous campus where about 3.000 people are working.
Our tour started with the “Walk Of Fame” where we got to see the first steps of the brand, first sneakers and first logos. From impressive Yohji Yamamoto boots in black/white to real snake leather Adiletten (!!!) – as you can see on the pictures below we were quite impressed and snapped a bunch of photos.
Next stop was the Adidas archive! This was probably the best thing of this trip! Equipped with gauntlets we were allowed to have a look inside this massive archive where thousands of shoes, apparel pieces and even signed world cup soccer balls are stocked (as you can see on the pictures below).
We also had a sneak peek inside the innovation center of Adidas. That’s where all the upcoming pieces of the brand get tested. Unfortunately we were not allowed to take pictures there, but it was great to see that there is so much high-tech behind all that stuff!
A huge thank you to Kathi, Christina Elisa, Betty and Jan from Adidas for these two days! It was big fun!
